Please read our terms and conditions carefully before booking a tour with eSafari Africa. By booking a trip with us, you agree to our terms and conditions, which constitute the entire agreement between us.

1. Tour booking:

  • We will send you an itinerary with our terms and conditions. Once you confirm the booking, you agree to these terms and conditions.
  • Ensure your passport is valid at least six months after your return and that all names match your passport.
  • It is your responsibility to secure the correct visas, permits, and certificates.

2. Reservation, deposit, and payment:

  • Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total amount of the trip is required to confirm your booking. Payment can be made by bank transfer or credit card.
  • Customised tours: Additional deposit (till 60%) may be required for lodge/tented camp tours.
  • Amount and currency: Prices are quoted in USD. 
  • Final payment: Full payment is due 30 days before departure or in cash at arrival, depending on the type of trip and agreement. Failure to pay will result in cancellation and forfeiture of deposit.

3. Cancellation and refund:

  • Deposit: 10% is non-refundable. If you have paid more to secure your accommodations, we refer to the refund policy of those accommodations minus bank transfer costs.
  • Cancellation before 60 days: Full refund, minus deposit, with refer to refund policy of the accommodations as mentioned before.
  • Cancellation within 60 days: no refund from hotel/lodge/tented camps safaris. Penalties apply for camping safaris:
    • 59-42 days: 25% of tour cost
    • 41-28 days: 50% of tour cost
    • 21 days or less: 100% of tour cost
  • Trip cancellation: We may cancel your trip due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., terrorism, natural disasters). You can choose a new departure date or receive a full refund.
  • Unused services: No refund for unused services during the tour.
  • Date change and transfer: Not permitted/subject to fees.

4. Tour price includes and excludes:

  • Includes: accommodation, transportation, airport transfers, sightseeing, meals, guides, trekking staff and equipment, camping fees, park fees, concession fees, and permits, as mentioned in your itinerary.
  • Excludes: visa fees, international airfare taxes, gratuities, personal expenses, items not listed in the itinerary, tips for the guide(s).

5. Force majeure:

eSafari Africa is not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by unforeseen events beyond their control (e.g., war, natural disasters).

6. International flights:

We are not responsible for air travel issues. We can refer you to a travel agent upon request.

7. Health and Fitness:

  • Our tours require a reasonable level of fitness.
  • Participants with physical or mental disabilities requiring special attention cannot be accommodated.
  • Clients over 75 need to submit a form for assessment.
  • Removal from the tour due to fitness issues will be at the client’s expense.

8. Travel Insurance:

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended.

9. Baggage:

  • One checked luggage (max 20kg) and one carry-on (max 5kg) allowed per client. If you have more luggage – maybe for Zanzibar – then let us know before you arrive an leave it in your accommodation in Arusha during the safari or climbing.
  • Clients must handle their own luggage as porter service may not be available everywhere.

10. Responsible behaviour:

  • Clients must follow the rules of the tour leader and local agents.
  • Any disruptive behaviour can lead to removal from the tour at the client’s expense.

11. Responsibilities of eSafari Africa:

  • eSafari Afric acts as an agent for suppliers and assumes no responsibility for any injury, death, damage, or loss resulting from their services.
  • eSafari Africa may make necessary changes to the itinerary, such as substituting hotels.
  • Clients are expected to adapt to different living standards and practices outside their home country.
  • eSafari Africa is not responsible for any delays, substitutions, or omissions by airlines.

12. Rights of eSafari Africa:

  • eSafari Africa has the right to accept or reject any tour member.
  • They may use photos taken during the tour for promotional purposes.
  • Clients who prefer not to have their image used should inform the tour leader.

13. Complaint and claim:

  • Complaints should be reported immediately to the tour guide or supplier management.
  • All written complaints must be received by eSafari Africa within 30 days of the tour’s completion.
  • No guarantee of material or financial compensation is provided.
